Our Story
Stockyards Brick Company was founded in the fall of 2013. Located in the heart of the Chicago’s famous Union Stockyards we have continual access to some of the city’s most desired salvageable materials. Working with salvage and demolition companies along with our own knowledgeable staff, we at Stockyards Brick have made recycling, repurposing, and reuse of these valuable resources possible.Our goal is simple: to create a beautiful future using tools from the past. How do we plan on accomplishing this? Through reclaimed materials. Far too often, perfectly good brick and timber is thrown into landfills instead of being repurposed. The team here at Stockyards noticed this ongoing problem and decided to do something about it. So, we started this company to take advantage of the fact that “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
Our staff has a lengthy record of working with reclaimed brick and architectural salvage. Each member of our team takes pride in providing our customers with beautiful, environmentally conscious products.

WHAT WE DO
Stockyards Brick and Timber reclaims vintage brick, timber, and other materials from demolition sites throughout the Midwest. From the procurement of a building, to the deconstruction, to the regeneration of materials, we go to great lengths to ensure that the “bones” of these beautiful buildings remain intact. By doing so, we can share a part of history with every one of our customers.
We are committed to the idea of sustainable living. All of our materials are reclaimed. Not only does this yield unmatched beauty in each project, it contributes to a cleaner, greener society. We help each building we work with move one step closer towards becoming LEED certified. We pride ourselves on providing sustainably sourced building materials to all of partners and customers.
